Job Title: AI Data Collector
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Remote (U.S.-based for hardware shipping)
Job Summary:
Join our customer’s team as an AI Data Collector, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI-driven robotics. In this position, you will record and annotate high-quality demonstrations of daily household activities, supporting the development of next-generation robotic assistants. This opportunity combines practical task execution, careful data handling, and structured process adherence—all from the comfort of your home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record demonstrations of everyday household tasks (e.g., folding laundry, making a bed) using Meta Ray-Ban glasses and a tripod-mounted smartphone.
- Set up, operate, and maintain provided recording hardware, including ring lights and multiple camera angles.
- Transfer, organize, and upload video recordings after each session to designated storage platforms.
- Accurately annotate task actions by editing JSON templates, marking action start and end times (e.g., grasp, fold, release).
- Perform tasks consistently and deliberately, ensuring clear, high-quality data capture.
- Follow step-by-step guidelines to replicate actions a house helper robot can perform, mirroring reference examples provided.
- Maintain reliable communication, providing timely updates and clarifications as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Located in the U.S. and comfortable receiving/shipping hardware kits.
- Hands-on experience with video recording, basic hardware setup (smartphones, wearables, lighting), and file transfers.
- Basic proficiency in JSON annotation: able to read/edit simple templates and insert action timestamps.
- Keen attention to detail, especially in video capture and data labeling.
- Comfortable performing and demonstrating basic household activities on camera.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; highly responsive and reliable in remote settings.
- Ability to follow structured instructions with consistency and diligence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in data collection, annotation, or similar roles for AI/robotics projects.
- Understanding of the role of training datasets in machine learning/robotics development.
- Demonstrated passion for advancing technology through high-quality data contributions.
