Job Summary

Join our customer's team as a Film Editor and play a crucial role in shaping compelling visual narratives. This position is perfect for professionals who excel at translating raw footage into seamless, story-driven scenes by leveraging an expert understanding of shot structure, rhythm, and continuity.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Review short video clips and deliver concise, insightful descriptions of visual actions.
  2. Analyze and identify shot types, camera transitions, and movements to enhance scene breakdowns.
  3. Edit and refine AI-generated scene captions for greater narrative clarity.
  4. Ensure consistent story continuity and maintain visual rhythm throughout footage.
  5. Collaborate with team members to uphold high editorial standards and provide constructive, actionable feedback.
  6. Apply advanced knowledge of sequencing and pacing to assemble cohesive scenes.
  7. Detect and resolve inconsistencies or errors in footage that may disrupt viewer engagement.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Proven experience with post-production and editing software such as Premiere, Avid, or Final Cut.
  2. Background in film studies or hands-on editing roles.
  3. Strong grasp of story continuity, shot selection, sequencing, and the nuances of visual rhythm and pacing.
  4. Exceptional attention to detail in footage analysis and review.
  5. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity, precision, and actionable feedback.
  6. English proficiency at Native or C2 level.
  7. Minimum commitment of 30 hours per week for approximately 2-4 weeks.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience working with remote, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Demonstrated ability to enhance AI-assisted editing workflows.
  3. Portfolio demonstrating a keen eye for visual continuity and narrative structure.
