Job Title: Japanese Language Expert

Job Summary:
As a Japanese Language Expert, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and correct machine-generated Japanese transcriptions for accuracy and naturalness.
- Record high-quality short audio clips (approx. 10 seconds per clip) based on provided transcriptions using your laptop microphone.
- Ensure a quiet and distraction-free environment while recording to maintain audio clarity.
- Deliver clear, accurate, and expressive verbal recordings adhering to project guidelines.
- Collaborate with customer’s team of transcriptionists and audio recording experts to maintain consistency and quality.
- Provide detailed feedback on language nuances, pronunciation, and context for ongoing improvement of AI models.
- Participate in quality control processes to validate data integrity and project success.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Native-level fluency in Japanese, with deep understanding of regional and cultural nuances.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Japanese.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to spot transcription errors accurately.
- Comfort recording your own voice using standard laptop microphones; no specialized audio equipment needed.
- Reliable access to a quiet recording environment.
- Ability to manage repetitive tasks with high quality output.
- Self-motivated and collaborative, able to work independently within a distributed team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in transcription, audio recording, linguistics, or localization projects.
- Familiarity with AI data annotation or speech recognition software.
- Experience working with diverse teams or contributing to language technology initiatives.
