Job Description

Job Title: Data Engineer


Job Type: Part-Time


Location: Remote


Job Summary:

At micro1, we are proactively building a network of exceptional Data Engineers in anticipation of exciting upcoming projects. Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and optimize scalable data pipelines and architectures

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements

- Implement data solutions using Python, PySpark, and PL/SQL

- Ensure robust data integration and warehousing/lake solutions

- Maintain and improve the performance of existing database systems

- Use Databricks to streamline data processing and analytics

- Document data processes and communicate effectively within the team


Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Proficiency in Python and PySpark

- Strong experience with PL/SQL and advanced SQL techniques

- Hands-on experience with Databricks

- Expertise in data warehousing/lakes

- Proven ability to design scalable data architectures

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team


Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of MarkLogic or graph databases

- Experience in fast-paced, innovative company environments
