Job Title: Senior Planning Engineer

Job Summary
We are searching for a highly skilled Senior Planning Engineer to join our team and drive the success of large-scale construction projects. This pivotal role will lead project scheduling, progress monitoring, and delay analysis to ensure on-time project delivery. As a vital member of our team, you will provide data-driven insights and proactive reporting to maintain project momentum and alignment with contractual goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning software.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and propose mitigation strategies to ensure timely completion.
- Conduct in-depth delay analysis and provide clear forensic reports for claims and project reviews.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports for stakeholders, ensuring transparency and actionable insights.
- Coordinate closely with project managers, site engineers, and other disciplines to collect accurate progress data and update schedules.
- Support the Planning Manager with forecasting, resource allocation analysis, and scenario planning.
- Champion written communication, delivering precise documentation and concise updates to foster our asynchronous team culture.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in project planning within large-scale construction environments.
- Proven expertise in critical path method (CPM) scheduling using Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.
- Advanced proficiency in delay analysis, earned value management, and project controls methodologies.
- Exceptional written communication skills with ability to produce clear, comprehensive reports and correspondence.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a track record of providing actionable early-warning insights.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary, asynchronous team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
- Professional certification such as PMP, PSP, or equivalent.
- Experience in Middle East construction projects and familiarity with regional regulations.
