Job Title: Electrician / Power-line Repairer


Job Type: Contract, flexible, ~10 to 15 hs commitment.

Join our customer's team as an experienced Electrician / Power-line Repairer, where you'll play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical power systems and telecommunications lines. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, circuits, and high-voltage power lines in diverse environments.
  2. Utilize digital multimeters and cloud-based reporting tools to monitor and log system health and performance.
  3. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installations and repairs.
  4. Diagnose faults using advanced diagnostic software, ensuring all systems comply with safety standards.
  5. Coordinate with dispatch teams through mobile project management platforms for seamless workflow and communication.
  6. Document job progress, maintenance activities, and system diagnostics using digital and mobile apps.
  7. Adhere to regulatory requirements and best practices for the installation and maintenance of smart-grid technologies.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Valid state electrician license with a strong background in power-line maintenance and repair.
  2. Proficient in the use of digital multimeters and electrical diagnostic tools.
  3. Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  4. Comfortable navigating and utilizing mobile apps for reporting, communication, and project management.
  5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to document findings clearly and liaise with remote teams.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and industry regulations.
  7. Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex electrical systems remotely.


Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with smart-grid and remote system monitoring technologies.
  2. Background in telecommunications line work or related fields.
  3. Certification in advanced diagnostic software or cloud-based utility management systems.
