Job Summary:

Join our customer's team as a Mechanical Engineering Technologists and Technicians - AI Trainer, where your expertise will shape the next generation of AI tools in mechanical engineering. In this innovative role, you will blend hands-on technical experience with your keen communication skills to develop and enhance AI models that support engineering design, testing, and troubleshooting.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Apply mechanical engineering principles to train and evaluate AI systems focused on mechanical design, manufacturing, and R&D tasks.
  2. Interpret engineering sketches, blueprints, and technical drawings, providing critical feedback to improve AI model accuracy.
  3. Develop test cases, scenarios, and datasets based on real-world mechanical systems assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting.
  4. Collaborate with engineering staff and AI developers to identify gaps in machine understanding and enhance technical datasets.
  5. Review project instructions to simulate common engineering challenges for AI learning modules.
  6. Translate complex mechanical concepts into clear, actionable data points and documentation for AI consumption.
  7. Support other engineers and AI trainers on technical queries related to mechanical fabrication, testing, or system adjustments.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist, Technician, or similar role (e.g., Mechanical Designer, Process Technician, R&D Technician).
  3. Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, sketches, and specifications.
  4. Demonstrated ability to assemble and troubleshoot complex mechanical systems.
  5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
  6. Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for precision and accuracy in documentation and analysis.
  7. Adaptability to work in a remote, collaborative, and fast-paced team environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Prior experience working with AI, machine learning, or data annotation projects.
  2. Background in automotive engineering or exposure to automotive systems.
  3. Experience with digital collaboration tools and remote team workflows.
