Job Title: QCAD Expert

Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned QCAD Expert to join our customer’s team, playing a pivotal role in capturing and demonstrating advanced 2D drafting workflows. You will apply your deep QCAD and technical drawing expertise to guide the development of next-generation AI tools, showcasing not just your drafting skills but your logical reasoning and decision-making processes at every stage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute complete 2D CAD drafting projects using QCAD, from initial concept through to final technical drawing export.
- Demonstrate and articulate the step-by-step workflow, including the use of layers, blocks, snaps, measurement tools, and precise geometry creation (lines, arcs, circles, splines, polylines).
- Add accurate dimensions, annotations, and technical notes to produce polished and organized technical drawings.
- Prepare technical documentation and ensure seamless export to scaled prints, DXF, or DWG formats tailored to professional standards.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to record, explain, and optimize your drafting logic and reasoning for AI training and workflow understanding.
- Communicate workflow decisions clearly in both written and verbal form, ensuring transparency in every drafting choice.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail across all project deliverables.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven hands-on expertise with QCAD, with a portfolio of completed end-to-end 2D drafting projects.
- Advanced proficiency in 2D CAD principles, technical drawing conventions, and drafting logic.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and CMS, with adaptability across 2D drafting platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to use layers, blocks, and advanced measurement tools for complex technical drawings.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating workflow decisions and drafting methodologies.
- Experience preparing technical exports (scaled prints, DXF/DWG) and organizing drawings for manufacturing or architectural applications.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a collaborative, process-driven mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with scripting or automation in CAD environments.
- Familiarity with CAM features, including G-code export and nesting for CNC or manufacturing workflows.
- Background in training or documenting workflows for process improvement or AI development.
