They operate state-of-the-art hydraulic excavators to perform crucial earthmoving, trenching, and foundation work on a variety of construction projects across Japan. As integral members of our operations, their attention to detail and strong communication skills ensure seamless execution and project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Skillfully operate hydraulic excavators to dig trenches, prepare foundations, and move earth according to project specifications.
- Interpret and follow site plans, blueprints, and instructions from supervisors with accuracy and precision.
- Conduct daily inspections and perform basic maintenance on excavation equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to meet project deadlines and objectives.
- Strictly adhere to company safety protocols, regulations, and environmental guidelines at all times.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and crew members through both written reports and verbal updates.
- Identify and report equipment faults or safety hazards promptly to minimize project interruptions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating hydraulic excavators in a construction or civil engineering environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proactive approach to teamwork.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical documentation.
- Keen attention to safety, with thorough knowledge of on-site safety procedures and risk management.
- Physical fitness and stamina to operate heavy machinery in various weather conditions.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on excavator equipment.
- Valid operator’s certification/license as required by Japanese regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience on large-scale or high-profile construction projects in Japan.
- Basic proficiency in Japanese language for workplace communication.
- Additional certifications in heavy equipment operation or safety training.
