Key Responsibilities
- Analyze short video clips from diverse audiovisual sources, focusing on scene description rather than transcription.
- Review and refine AI-generated captions to enhance accuracy in depicting shot types, camera movements, character actions, scene layouts, and nuanced visual details.
- Apply and maintain consistent cinematic terminology throughout all annotations, ensuring clarity and precision.
- Collaborate closely with the remote team, synthesizing feedback to continuously improve annotation quality.
- Guarantee that all descriptions support the storytelling intent and reflect professional filmmaking standards.
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to visual detail, maintaining consistency and accuracy across multiple scenes.
- Deliver high-quality written annotations within defined timelines for an intense, fast-paced project environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Professional or academic background in cinematography, filmmaking, or related visual storytelling fields.
- Proven experience in roles such as Cinematographer, Camera Operator, Film/Video Editor, Storyboard Artist, Pre-Visualization Artist, Director, Script Supervisor, Film Critic, Media Analyst, Media Production Assistant, Animator, or similar.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex visuals into clear, descriptive language.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in every annotation.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fully remote setting.
- English language proficiency at Native or C2 level.
- Availability to dedicate at least 30 hours per week for an estimated 2–4 week project duration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience annotating or captioning video content for AI, research, or media production purposes.
- Familiarity with AI-generated content and iterative feedback processes.
- Background in film studies or visual arts research with an emphasis on cinematic analysis.
