Key Responsibilities:
- Perform precise annotations on video, image, and text datasets — capturing fine-grained details such as object positions, human actions, or scene changes with accuracy.
- Strictly follow project-specific guidelines and consistently apply complex labeling rules without deviation.
- Identify edge cases and ambiguities in data and flag them clearly for clarification, instead of making assumptions.
- Ensure consistency across large volumes of repetitive tasks, maintaining the same standard from start to finish.
- Double-check and self-verify annotations before submission to reduce corrections and rework.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficient English speaker with exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
- Can read long annotation guidelines and accurately apply them without misinterpretation.
- Able to describe visual actions/events with precise, objective wording (e.g., “left hand touches table” instead of “looks clumsy”).
- Writes short, clear justifications or flags issues in simple English when annotation edge cases occur.
- Proven experience in data annotation or related fields.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy in repetitive tasks.
- Double-checks work before submission to reduce errors and corrections needed.
- Ability to follow complex instructions and project-specific guidelines.
- Knows when to pause and ask clarifications instead of guessing when instructions are unclear.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with video and image datasets
- Comfortable scrubbing through videos frame by frame and identifying precise start/stop points of actions or objects.
- Experienced in tagging multiple elements per frame (hands, objects, facial features, lighting, etc.).
