Job Summary

Join our customer’s team as a Portuguese Language Expert and play a vital role in supporting impactful global language projects from anywhere in the world. In this fully remote position, you will leverage your native-level language skills to enhance content quality, ensure cultural accuracy, and help shape effective communication. This is an outstanding opportunity for a language professional passionate about making a difference in international projects within a collaborative virtual environment.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Translate, proofread, and edit a range of content between Portuguese and English, emphasizing linguistic precision and cultural authenticity.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver expert language support for websites, marketing campaigns, and user-facing materials.
  3. Conduct in-depth linguistic reviews and offer constructive feedback to optimize clarity, tone, and style.
  4. Ensure all written materials align with established brand voice, style guides, and quality benchmarks.
  5. Contribute to the development and upkeep of glossaries and linguistic reference assets.
  6. Advise teams on cultural and language nuances to maximize local market engagement and relevance.
  7. Participate in remote meetings, actively contributing to project planning and execution discussions.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Native-level fluency in Portuguese, with impeccable grammar, spelling, and writing style.
  2. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
  3. Proven experience in translation, localization, or other language-centric roles.
  4. Ability to self-manage and deliver high-quality work in a remote, independent setting.
  5. Keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to linguistic accuracy and consistency.
  6. Comfort using digital tools and remote collaboration platforms.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Portuguese Language, or a related discipline.
  2. Background in working with international or multicultural teams.
  3. Familiarity with translation technologies, quality assurance workflows, or language software tools.
