Job Summary:

As a key member of our café, you'll craft delicious beverages, provide memorable guest experiences, and uphold the highest standards of quality, consistency, and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve expertly crafted espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, and specialty beverages following established recipes and standards.
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment with precision and care.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar, equipment, and surrounding service areas at all times.
- Consistently deliver beverages with exceptional taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for both guests and team members.
- Engage warmly and professionally with customers, delivering efficient and attentive service that reflects our brand values.
- Assist in inventory management, stock handling, and daily operational tasks, including opening and closing procedures.
- Work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as part of a collaborative team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on barista experience in a specialty, high‑volume café, with proven ability to maintain consistent beverage quality during peak service.
- Advanced espresso extraction proficiency, including daily grinder calibration, workflow optimization, brew‑ratio control, and the ability to troubleshoot extraction issues such as channeling and irregular flow rates.
- Comprehensive technical understanding of espresso machinery, including the ability to calibrate and fine‑tune different commercial espresso machines (pressure profiling, temperature stability, volumetrics, PID systems), adjust multi‑boiler configurations, and perform routine technical checks to maintain consistency and equipment performance.
- Deep knowledge of specialty coffee, including origin characteristics, processing methods, roast profiles, and their impact on extraction and flavor; able to communicate this knowledge confidently to staff and guests.
- Operational competence in high‑volume café systems, covering espresso‑machine maintenance, workflow design, inventory management, POS oversight, and strict adherence to hygiene, food safety, and quality‑control protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completed barista training certification or relevant hospitality coursework.
- Experience working in an international or high-volume café setting.
- Knowledge of specialty coffee trends and brewing methods.
