Job Summary:

Join our customer’s team as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and play an essential role in empowering individuals to achieve independence and improve their quality of life. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Instruct or assist patients and families in developing home programs, basic living skills, and using adaptive equipment.
  2. Collaborate closely with occupational therapists to implement individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting client autonomy.
  3. Monitor and encourage patients’ progress during therapy activities, offering constructive feedback and motivation.
  4. Maintain a positive, supportive attitude toward clients and their treatment goals.
  5. Document and communicate patient progress, attitudes, and behaviors to supervisors both verbally and in writing.
  6. Contribute valuable insights to the training of AI technologies, ensuring they reflect the nuances of excellent occupational therapy support.
  7. Promote consistently high standards of care and professional integrity within the team environment.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Proficiency with brainTrain IVA+Plus, BrainTrain Captain’s Log, Language Arts and Math Educational Software.
  2. Hands-on experience with database tools such as Dbase, Filemaker Pro, Microsoft Access, and Email Software including Microsoft Outlook.
  3. Familiarity with eClinicalWorks EHR Software, Laboratory Information Systems, and Visual Health Information (VHI) PC-Kits.
  4. Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills for creating educational and progress reports.
  5. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a genuine care for clear, compassionate interaction.
  6. Detail-oriented and able to report on patient outcomes accurately and efficiently.
  7. Strong teamwork ethos and adaptability in a remote, collaborative environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience assisting with the integration or training of AI technologies in healthcare or rehabilitation settings.
  2. Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  3. Demonstrated experience working with diverse patient populations in virtual care models.
