Job Summary

Join our customer’s team as an Environmental Scientist and Specialist, Including Health, driving the advancement of environmental protection and health initiatives through expert data analysis, modeling, and communication. In this full-time remote position, you will influence critical decision-making, support AI training, and contribute to public health by assessing environmental risks and sharing vital insights with diverse stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Communicate complex scientific and technical information clearly to public, organizational, and internal audiences through briefings, reports, workshops, conferences, and public hearings.
  2. Collect, synthesize, and analyze environmental data—including pollution emissions, atmospheric, soil, and water samples—utilizing advanced data management and modeling tools.
  3. Monitor and evaluate the effects of pollution and land degradation, recommending effective prevention and mitigation strategies.
  4. Review, interpret, and implement environmental technical standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring full compliance with current policies.
  5. Provide expert scientific and technical guidance to governmental agencies, industry partners, environmental programs, and the public.
  6. Lead or support training sessions for staff and AI systems to advance environmental science capabilities within the organization.
  7. Develop impactful presentations, visualizations, and reports to facilitate informed decision-making and stakeholder engagement.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Proficiency in ADMS Pollution modeling software, Wolfel IMMI, Environmental EcoRisk View, and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
  2. Strong command of database software (e.g., Microsoft Access, SQL), Tucows ChemBase, and ESRI ArcGIS/Arcinfo for robust data analysis and management.
  3. Expertise in GIS systems and graphic design tools such as Corel CorelDraw Graphics Suite and Adobe Illustrator.
  4. Skilled in utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint and digital image libraries (SmugMug, Flickr) for organizing and presenting environmental data.
  5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating an ability to translate complex scientific concepts for varied audiences.
  6. Demonstrated success in collaborative, cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
  7. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities in environmental science contexts.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Prior experience in training AI or developing content to enhance machine learning in environmental applications.
  2. Advanced degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Health, or a related discipline.
  3. Recognized certifications in environmental management or pollution control.
