Job Summary:

Leverage your deep Java expertise and modern engineering practices to architect, build, and enhance mission-critical applications. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications and microservices.
  2. Lead and implement modernization, refactoring, and migration initiatives to enhance system reliability and performance.
  3. Architect and deliver solutions utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and industry best practices.
  4. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including frontend, QA, DevOps, and product managers—to deliver impactful features.
  5. Conduct thorough code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and champion clean code standards and best practices.
  6. Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues, from performance bottlenecks to critical production incidents.
  7. Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for systems, APIs, and architecture decisions; effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.



Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with advanced expertise in Java (Java 8+).
  2. Proven hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and RESTful APIs/microservices architecture.
  3. Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and clean architecting principles.
  4. Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORM tools like Hibernate or JPA.
  5. Solid background in building and consuming REST APIs; familiarity with message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to clearly articulate complex technical topics.
  7. Strong collaboration skills; effective in distributed, agile teams with at least 6+ hours overlap with US Eastern Time.



Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  2. Knowledge of reactive programming with Spring WebFlux or similar frameworks.
  3. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices; exposure to full-stack development with React or Vue is a plus.
