Job Summary:
Join our customer's team as a Financial Data Analyst, where your expertise will transform complex, messy company information into structured, model-ready data. You'll bring clarity and consistency to financial data, ensuring that key performance indicators are accurate and accessible. This highly collaborative and remote role is ideal for analytical professionals seeking impactful work with global exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Convert unstructured company financials into organized, consistent datasets, including historicals, KPI definitions, and relevant units/time periods.
- Clean, validate, and transform financial data to ensure accuracy and reliability for downstream modeling and reporting.
- Develop clear and concise PowerPoint presentations with tables, screenshots, and detailed explanatory notes for stakeholder consumption.
- Document data sources, mapping logic, and methodology, ensuring transparency and reproducibility.
- Report on key financial metrics and KPIs, driving insights and data-driven recommendations for business stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align on data requirements and resolve discrepancies in financial information.
- Communicate findings and updates to both technical and non-technical team members with strong written and verbal skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in financial data analysis, data cleaning, and data transformation.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data manipulation and presentation.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and a disciplined approach to remote work.
- Demonstrated strength in KPI reporting and the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to clear documentation.
- Strong analytical thinking and a self-motivated, resourceful mindset.
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting international teams or clients in the US, Canada, Europe, or Brazil.
- Exposure to model preparation and financial performance tracking across multiple business units.
- Background in consulting or project-based financial analytics roles.
