Job Summary:
Join our customer's team as a Kannada Language Expert and play a pivotal role in training artificial intelligence systems for nuanced Kannada language understanding. Leverage your expertise in Kannada linguistics to drive high-impact projects in translation, text refinement, and effective communication, all while working remotely within a cutting-edge AI development environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance in Kannada language translation, localization, and content adaptation for a range of AI-driven products and services.
- Edit, proofread, and enhance Kannada text data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and cultural relevance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to annotate, curate, and review large datasets for machine learning purposes.
- Evaluate and improve AI-generated Kannada content, offering feedback to AI trainers and developers.
- Develop and maintain linguistic guidelines, best practices, and style guides tailored to the Kannada language.
- Contribute to the creation of high-quality language resources, including glossaries and corpora, for AI training.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical team members to resolve language-related challenges.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Native or near-native proficiency in Kannada, with proven expertise in reading, writing, and verbal communication.
- Strong background in translation, content editing, and written communication in Kannada.
- Exceptional attention to linguistic detail, grammar, and tone appropriate to diverse contexts.
- Experience in reviewing, annotating, or curating text datasets for language technology or AI projects.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a remote team environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, clarity, and maintaining cultural sensitivity in Kannada language work.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration and written/verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience as an AI language trainer or in language technology projects.
- Familiarity with linguistic annotation tools or natural language processing workflows.
- Academic background in Linguistics, Kannada Literature, or related fields.
