Job Summary:

Join our customer's team as a dynamic Japanese Language Tutor, delivering engaging lessons in both written and spoken Japanese. This is a unique opportunity to apply your language expertise and pedagogical skills in a flexible, remote environment while helping learners achieve fluency.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate comprehensive Japanese language instruction for students of varying levels in both group and one-on-one settings.
  2. Design interactive lesson plans and develop adaptable learning materials tailored to individual learner needs and proficiency.
  3. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  4. Utilize digital platforms and tools to deliver remote lessons effectively, ensuring high levels of student engagement.
  5. Communicate regularly with students and the team via written and verbal channels, prioritizing clarity and empathy in every interaction.
  6. Stay updated on best practices in language education and incorporate innovative teaching methodologies.
  7. Contribute actively to the customer’s team by sharing insights, resources, and supporting collaborative projects.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Native or highly proficient command of the Japanese language.
  2. Intermediate level of English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  3. At least 5 years of experience teaching Japanese to non-native speakers.
  4. Demonstrated ability to create an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  5. Proficient in leveraging online teaching tools and digital resources.
  6. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
  7. Commitment to ongoing professional development and educational excellence.


Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience working in a remote or multicultural team setting.
  2. Familiarity with contemporary language teaching technologies and methodologies.
  3. Certification in Japanese language instruction (e.g., JLPT, Japanese teaching credentials).
