Job Title: Systems Security Operations Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Systems Security Operations Engineer to join our team and lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, resilient IT infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our security posture across on-premises and cloud environments, with a strong emphasis on proactive incident response, server hardening, and security best practices. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead, deliver, and maintain end-to-end system and security infrastructure solutions—spanning on-premises and cloud ecosystems.
  2. Design and uphold robust security postures, ensuring systems are resilient and compliant with industry standards.
  3. Drive and implement recommended technology and security changes aligned with business needs, audit findings, and emerging trends.
  4. Oversee projects from inception to closure, producing comprehensive design and closure documentation.
  5. Conduct routine system maintenance, failover tests, and drills to monitor performance and business continuity benchmarks (BCP).
  6. Proactively respond to incidents, manage root cause analysis, and maintain knowledge bases with thorough documentation.
  7. Assist in the development and management of system and security budgets, aligning with IT risk management and audit initiatives.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  2. Minimum 7 years’ experience in system and security operations.
  3. Certifications: MCSE, MCSA 2019, CCNA, MS Azure Administrator, VMware VCP, Linux Redhat.
  4. Expertise in Office 365 administration and security.
  5. Proven hands-on experience with server hardening, patch management, and security benchmarking for endpoints and servers.
  6. Strong ability to remediate system vulnerabilities, manage RBAC, enforce MFA, and implement conditional access across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
  7. Exceptional written communication skills, with a preference for documentation and async collaboration.


Preferred Qualifications:

  1. ITIL certification.
  2. Demonstrated experience in cryptographic control implementation, key vault and certificate management.
  3. Experience managing Linux Redhat patching, VMware environment remediation, and advanced security configurations in hybrid environments.
