Job Summary

Join our customer's team as a Principal Cybersecurity Expert with micro1, where you will play a pivotal, client-facing role in safeguarding organizations from cutting-edge cyber threats. As a trusted security advisor, you'll leverage your practical experience to assess vulnerabilities, respond to real-world incidents, and communicate risk to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate directly with clients to evaluate security postures and assess emerging threats across diverse environments.
  2. Analyze vulnerabilities and recommend prioritized, actionable mitigation strategies based on real-world impact.
  3. Advise on the integration of Artificial Intelligence and advanced threat systems to bolster security architectures.
  4. Lead and support incident response efforts, guiding decision-making under pressure and uncertainty.
  5. Clearly articulate risk scenarios, tradeoffs, and urgency to non-technical business leaders and stakeholders.
  6. Stay abreast of the evolving threat landscape and ensure client solutions are adaptive and resilient.
  7. Foster a security-first mindset within client organizations through education and advisory sessions.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Proven practical experience managing or responding to security incidents or operating in high-risk security environments.
  2. Deep understanding of cybersecurity, threat systems, and the application of Artificial Intelligence in security contexts.
  3. Expertise in threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, and effective mitigation planning.
  4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex risks to diverse audiences.
  5. Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under uncertainty and time constraints.
  6. Client-facing experience with a strong advisory mindset and professional presence.
  7. Track record of prioritizing threats based on operational and business impact.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience in highly regulated or critical infrastructure sectors.
  2. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC).
  3. Successful history of building trust with executives and business leaders on security matters.
